  • These NH have great livability, and you can get a sustainable flock from them. By 4-5m they get about as big as the 3m broilers I've raised. Pullets started laying around 4.5-5 months and cockerel is doing his job.

All are in good health, although there may be some feather damage in the older egger hens in spite of the chicken saddles. All hens are currently laying and the pullets are just about to start. I keep them in a covered run to protect from predators in my area. They're good chickens, and most of them are friendly.

Send me a message if you'd like to purchase any of these guys, and we can arrange on a place to meet. I can also provide pictures if needed, just haven't had a minute to do that yet.

Honestly we are just starting out and want 5 or 6 chickens and 1 rooster and would like a variety what do you recommend?
Well, I still have the New Hampshires available, which would be 3 pullets and a roo, all ~6m and pullets are laying well. And you could add any of the blue, green, or brown egger hens (numbers 6 through 9) to make 6 hens total. (all the pullets listed in #1-#3 are sold). The New Hampshires should lay through this winter, and the one year old hens may also. The New Hampshires are dual purpose, so with the same breed cockerel and hens you can raise more of them for eggs or meat. If you want a smaller, egger type rooster instead of the New Hampshire roo, any of the ~5m cockerels (WTB or green egger cockerel) would be a good choice.

That sounds great the 4 new hampshire and then a mix of the eggers we decided to go with 12 total. 10 hens and 2 roosters. One of them being the new hampshire my number is 256-731-0466 thank you
