Is it too soon to tell? I feel like this gal is going to end up being a boy. It’s supposed to be a California White Leghorn if that helps. Her comb is much larger than the others and she has “charged” at me twice. I think she thought I had food and was wicked excited. She’s always the first to come over. Whenever she sees me near the brooder, she gets as close to me as she can cuz she thinks I have something for her!

Where did you get this bird? It's too young to tell the gender. Post pics of the comb at 6 weeks. BUT, that is not a Leghorn. (Dark legs) It also looks Lavender in color.....

Legs are def darker. I got it from Hoover’s Hatchery that’s why I said it’s SUPPOSED haha. They did screw up my order a bit and didn’t even ship some so I got refunded for like 5 birds from them. What do you think it is? When I first got it, she was yellow with one very noticeable black spot on her back near the wing tip but still stuck out. Now she is turning white and that black spot has moved under her wings since they’ve grown and the spot has gotten a bit larger.
