Coffee's ready...

Good morning all! I am so looking forward to this weekend coming up. Now I know what people mean when they say Thank God it's Friday! I was so spoiled by the summer vacation, it is taking a while for us all to get back into the swing of things.

Looks like it is going to be a rainy day, no rain yet but it is forecasted. That's okay though because I will be working, and it has been a pretty dry past few weeks.

Need to go make my coffee, yes I haven't even made it yet.

No coffee this morning - just apple cider. My daughter doesn't have to be at swim practice at 5:45 am on Fridays - so I actually slept in umm 20 minutes. Lily (our dog) unfortunately still thinks she need to have a potty break this early.

Not my best morning.

Woke up, my right eye felt funny. It felt heavy and wierd, so I went to the bathroom to check it out in the mirror.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparantly at some point yesterday, I got into some poison ivy. Must have had it on my hands, and then touched my face, because my eye lid is swollen THREE TIMES it's normal size with it!!! It itches like MAD but I'm trying NOT to scratch it.

So I can see OK out of it, so I get the morning coffee started. Next thing I know DS1 is coming out of their room to tell me that DS2 is in the bathroom vomiting. Great, just great, we've a sick kid. Not even five minutes later he starts screaming DS3 is throwing up on their carpet.

So, that's how my day's going so far, and all before 8 am.

Ugh.. about the poison ivy .. I'm highly allergic and it's the ONE thing I'm less than excited about moving back to the country .. hope your eye feels better.

Sipping on my first cup .. it's raining .. hard .. at work .. forgot to put the umbrella in the truck .. at home .. where it wasn't raining ...

Morning all.

Today is brooder-cleaning day for me. Trying to get all these chicks raised up and ready for the winter...it's comin' fast.

Good morning! I got my three kids off to school. I have no idea how the youngest made the bus - mornings are AWFUL for her!

Today I think will be a good day for canning. Blueberry jelly, hot pepper jelly, salsa, and maybe dill pickles. I ordered a pressure cooker off of ebay, so I may test run that baby for supper.

It's rainy and chilly here, but since today is my day off, it's going to be a great day! If the rain lets up, we may even go to the high school football game tonight! Go Hurricanes!!!

I would also like to mention that today is a somber day for America. I am thinking of all of our servicemen and women, and all lives that were lost or changed on 9/11.
