So, a few days ago, I rescued a few ducklings I found in this little space between my fence and garage, we waited a while to see if the mother would come, but she didn't. Now I have 3 little ducklings. They have a source of heat, water, starter food etc., but what else can I feed common merganser ducklings? I know they eat fish, but they are so little and I don't want them to die of malnutrition. Anybody have any experience with common merganser ducklings? I am learning slowly, just want them to be healthy. Thank you.

Good luck....you could try floating goldfish or catfish food. They need at least 24% protein and to be on water.

Check out this video:
. They're feeding it live goldfish and mealworms.

Otherwise, I would think to treat it like any other duckling. I think they're more carnivorous than the usual mallard duckling.

Is there someone involved in wildlife rehab near you? They can help or take it in.

Thanks! I will try to find some mealworms and fish at our local pet store tomorrw.
