Cayuga Duck Incubation - yellow spot in egg, active duckling

Egg #2 is starting to internally pip! It also has an internal "yellow spot". I only candled again to make sure egg #1 was progressing. Locked down for now, praying for external pip from egg #1. I have been reading extensively about "safety hole" but we are not there yet! I just like to be informed. If I don't see an external pip from egg #1 by tonight, I will have some choices to make.

My humidity is 60% right now. This morning I woke up in a panic because it had dropped drastically due to the temp fluctuation in the house. (It went from 75 yesterday to 45 today.) I don't think it had dropped for long but still I know that can be BAD. They are day 26. Now that I counted .. i guess that wouldn't be early. Oh my gosh.

my ducks started creating those yellow spots as early as day 22 so your eggs are not early. As for the fluctuation in humidity/temp, if they are still well right now, there is nothing to worry about.

Thank you very much! They have externally pipped, and I can see them breathing. They are locked down with great temps, and humidity. Now we wait some more!
