Connecticut!

Anyone looking for a roo for their hens? I have one available in northwest CT. He is 7 months old and protective. He was supposed to be a meat bird but since all of our others were taken from a bobcat, I thought id give him this last chance at life since hes been through alot. Boris is a ‘Alchemist Farms’ Moss egger. He follows me around like a lost pup, since he has no hens. I had a moss egger hen and they lay beautiful moss/olive toned eggs(bottom of the 3).

Gorgeous!

In April I will have 2-3 laying hens available if someone out there is looking for chickens but not wanting to go through the process of growing them out. 3 hens is a perfect amount for a first time flock. My ladies will be 1 year old in May. They have been on organic non soy/corn since day one, and are fantastic foragers. The breeds are Marans and Silverrudds.
