Hello everyone. I have a 4 year old bantam rooster that is very lethargic and not willing to eat. He is not showing any signs of disease or parasite. His heart beats normally and he breathes normally. His poop is normal. I cleared out sour crop. I separated him and have fed him electrolytes and egg but he won't eat. He is just lethargic, pale, and not willing to eat. I have read that this tends to happen in older chickens. Any suggestions?

How is your rooster doing?

Do you have photos of him and his poop?

You cleared out Sour Crop? How was that done? If his crop is sour, that needs to be addressed. It can take days/weeks to heal/treat a Sour Crop. I'd start him on an anti-fungal/yeast medication. Miconazole, Clotrimazole or Nystatin are commonly used.

If you have not dewormed him in a long time, it may be worth doing that too.

Work on hydration and see if he can eat some mushy feed.
