Coop run floor question

Hey all first post here!

I’m almost done with my cool and it’s almost move in day. My question is do I need to change the ground cover in the chicken run portion of the coop. I’m not sure exactly what it is but here is a photo. Thanks!

What are you housing in this coop? It's awfully small.

The chicken wire is not predator proof and the run is equally tiny.

The mulch on the ground is fine.
