Hello feathered friends!
So I have a bird with Coryza. And I have a handful of drugs and things because I have a lot of animals. So help me figure out what would be best to treat her with. I’m gonna post pictures of said drugs

These are enormous tablets given to me for one of my horses. But it is a self drug. Which makes me think it might be the best choice. Would I crush it up mix it with water and try and put it down her throat or put it in water I don’t think she’ll get enough of the drug if it’s just in water.

This one I got for one of my other chickens. It’s a little old. And I’m wondering what I can thin it out with because it’s a bit thick and gummy now.

If I administer this I need to know where to inject I’ve never done an injection before.

Thank you all for your insight and expertise.

Much appreciated.

I thought that would be the right choice as well. So what are your thoughts on administration? Just crush a tablet up and put it in the water? What are the dangers of overdosing?

SMZ-TMP will treat Coryza. Use a pill cutter to quarter a tablet. Give one quarter tablet to your infected bird orally twice a day for 10 days.
Cradle the bird in your forearm and pull her wattles down with your fingers and her mouth open. Put 1/4 tablet in her mouth with your free hand, release the wattles and she'll swallow the tablet, gently rub her throat in a downward motion for a few seconds, then release her. Done. Repeat dosing again before she goes to roost for the night.
Keep in mind Coryza is contagious to other birds.

What are your bird’s symptoms? Is there a bad odor from the beak or head? Do you have a picture?
Yes. That horrible unmistakable odor. Thick pudding like discharge from the eyes, lethargy, loss of appetite.

Yes, then the sulfa medications are best for that. If you ever lose a bird, your state vet can do a necropsy with testing and tell you exactly what was wrong. Here are some graphic videos:
