First time incubating and I'm using a brand new Cozychick Incubator. I'm on Day 2. The temperature in the incubator is at a constant 99.5F, however, my Govee has been running at an average of 95.5F. I'm nervous that the temperature is too low. Humidity has been an average of 44.2% (I have water in slot A). Should I turn up the temperate on the incubator to get the Govee to read 99.5F? I've been covering the incubator with a towel at night but Govee read 95.2F at 7:30 this morning; incubator said 99.2F. I did cover the incubator with the styrofoam that the machine came in last evening and the incubator starting reading 101F and Govee did read closer to the 99.5; however, the humidity got over 55% so I removed it. Thoughts? I ended up ordering a WiFI Govee this morning (so I can monitor it at work- oh my!) along with another small hygrometer to have as another reference. The obsession is real and I'm worried I won't have any that hatch. Thanks for the advice!!

I'd trust the Govee. The correct temperature is more important. Keep the insulation in place. If you're in a humid place you may not be able to get the % down. Most eggs will be fine with 55% humidity until lock down. Best luck

I have the same issue. Chickcozy reading 99.5 as it should but Govee was always 99 or 98.1, something like that. I have turned the Chickcozy up to 100 therefore the Govee now reading 99.5.
I hope I have done the right thing, First time incubator as well. Also day 2. Humidity I am not as worried about and matches up pretty well.

I am on day 5 and had the same freak out the first 2 days with my chick cozy. It always reads 99.5 and my Govee was different. I calibrated my Govee to the chick cozy and also added an old school glass thermometer. I am trusting those instead of the incubator. My glass is at 100 and my Govee is at 99.7 with 50.1% humidity. It runs between 47-50 and I’m just going to be happy with that cause there’s nothing else I can do
