Creepy mating question

Hello everyone,

This is Jasmine the Pekin. She's been living indoors for quite awhile now due to recurrent bumblefeet, probably caused by her deformed legs and how she walks. When she lived outside with my 5 other ducks, she preferred to hang out by herself for the most part so she has been doing GREAT in my bathroom. Also, my Pekin drake Benjamin was harassing her by biting her bum until she would bleed. He is also now well behaved in her absence.

Here comes the "creepy" part lol. It's now glaringly obvious that Jasmine thinks we are more than just friends. At first, I'd just give her a scratch and walk away. That's not cutting it anymore and I feel bad for her. I tried poking her tail to "pretend" for her sake but she only looks more serious afterwards.

Should I bring my other drake, Blueberry the the Swedish blue, for visits to her to make her feel better? They all grew up together and he did try to mate her (seemed to be consensual) when I brought her outside briefly. It's too cold here to leave her out for any length of time since she's not acclimated.

I just want her to be happy while she's still living inside.

Yes. Touching a birds back sends mixed messages. For them, it's breeding behavior, for people its just petting.
