Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

well on the farm there is  one love bird, one cockatieal , 3 doves, one macaw and one african grey. all of which have their own building inside

then there are the ducks and geese.

on the farm right now there are 2 mandarins, 4 rouens,  2 grey mallards that i have raised ( the others were raised by the moms ), one black mallard, 4 american buff geese, 5 call ducks all still juvenils, and a whole bunch of muscovys

( the mandarins and muscovys are my brothers though )

those are all the winged animals.
but the only things going in the aviary will be the call ducks and mandarins.
I want white mandarin babies...

But she has never layed in the same place just recently she has gone of lay , when she does lay its in 3-4 diff places including the pond and isn't in the slightest bit broody. They have a diet of 2 part layers pellet 1 part corn and I mix duck & chicken egg shells in there food for extra calcium & grit. They seem happy ducks but don't know what to do , have tried collecting all her eggs up that she does lay and putting them in a clutch in her laying box but she isn't interested ?? Any advice would be brill thanks. Rebecca

I will take mandie eggs :) I have 1 lonesome girlie and she needs some friends. What do you sell them for @minihorse927
I've been getting $10 each out of them. They're molting right now and sometimes she'll lay more after molting, but not always.

Give it time. First-time moms can be clueless, and either don't have any interest in brooding, or simply haven't figured it out yet. Do you have any broody hens to put them under? What about an incubator?

Hi Amy , THANKYOU for the response , I do have a incubator To hand but was hopeing by know she would have learnt ... I am probably expecting to much from her but my parents have a pair of call ducks that are younger than them and lay regular and have gone broody & hatched out 4 beautiful ducklings makes me feel as if I'm doing something wrong !? Lol which is why I wondered if anyone had any tips.
