Dead Orloff

Maybe he's too embarrassed to be caught in such a position?:lau

Can a chicken fake death to avoid being picked on? Or maybe he was traumatised or too exhausted after a long trying to get free.

Glad that he is alive and okay now.

I'm so relieved! I haven't been home through all of this so it's been a nightmare. Just hoping he's completely okay and that it doesn't happen again ;-;

Sure wish he could talk and tell you how he ended up like that! Chickens do "pass out" when held upside down, that's probably what happened. If he'd been like that very long he very well could have died. Wow, The Case of the Resurrected Rooster! :clap
Yeah! I think he ended up in a slight angle luckily because I think my mom left him for dead a couple hours until my brother came home to get him. I'm just thankful I got the call he was alive I was NOT expecting it haha!

how powerful is the electric fence? Could it be touching the chicken wire and electrifying it? Maybe he was seized up.

I had a silkie roo get caught in the electric mesh fence once. He was fine, but he was twitching while he was stuck in the fence.

On a closer inspection of the pictures, it looks like he’s hung up by the spur on the upper foot.
He’s using the lower foot to brace himself.
