Hen Dead in Nesting Box This Morning.

My first thought is anuerysm.

I'll add that I found one of the other hen's eggs broken in the nesting box she had died in. Made me think she might have kicked around or something.

Permethrin

Try DE instead. This stuff is toxic to Honey bees, which I have and they do like to stop at the Hens water or even their feed.

When you have a mite infestation, it needs to be treated aggressively because mites cause anemia and can kill. Permethrin is dangerous to honey bees if they are kept right next to the coop. But DE won’t treat an active mite outbreak. It can also irritate eyes and breathing of you are the birds.
