Here's our tree, but it looks much better in person and when it was new. Not really bothering with good photography since it's not an entry

As you can see, no tinsel, no plastic baubles. Just ribbon, lights and pretty ornaments (most are wooden)

I got this ornament in Hong Kong, the only Christmas I didn't spend at home.

That is so pretty! What a really nice ornament/souvenir.

Decorated Christmas Tree Photo Contest​

It's the holiday season and time for you to show off your Christmas tree decorating prowess. It's easy to enter, just decorate your tree, take a picture, and post in this thread. The tree is the star of this contest, no people or animals in the picture. Full tree or closeups accepted.

For non-tree focused decorations check out our Holiday Decorations Photo Contest.

Rules:

• Four entries per member. An entry is *one* picture of your decorated Christmas tree. One entry per post, please.
• The tree needs to have been decorated by you or your immediate family between 11/1/2021 &1/1/2022.

Spoiler: More Rules - Please Read

1. The picture needs to have been taken by you.
2. You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC sponsored contest.
3. No overly-edited or filtered images—basic editing such as cropping and other subtle changes are allowed.
4. Extra consideration for picture quality!
5. No people or animals in the picture.
6. No screenshots, and no watermarks, date stamps, text, etc. on the picture.
7. ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
8. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
9. Open to all BYC members.
10. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
11. Entries will be accepted until January 1st at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

There will be 3 winners and each will receive a copy of the beautiful BYC 2022 Calendar!

The calendar is available to winners that reside in the United States. If the winners are outside of the United States, they will be awarded a 1-month PFM.

A little story about this pink tree.

It was 2009... when DS1's dad & I were at BigLots and he saw a [different] 6ft pink tree at checkout. His mom loves pink; he told me how he'd love to buy it and while she was out he would swap her tree, decorations and all. Unfortunately, that year he passed away two weeks before Christmas.
Then in December of 2010, I was shopping at "Borders" bookstore that was closing and I saw this pink tree on display - not being sold. I had to buy this tree. Talked to the manager, explained the situation, and they let me buy it for $100. Christmas eve, while my MIL1 was at church, I snuck into her house and swapped her tree, lights and decorations and all. She came home to this surprise and I was able to tell her the whole purpose behind it.
