Hi all!! I'm picking up some chicks tomorrow and the person I'm getting them from can't tell the difference between the Blue Laced Wyandotte vs the Columbia Wyandotte (they are all together). I've searched high and low on this. Does anyone have any insight on these chicks??

According to a google image search, some personal experience with Wyandottes, and some personal experience with Columbians:

Laced chicks have splotchy faces, and red laced will be tinted red, possibly with blue back stripes. Columbian chicks have faces in which the colors sort of fade together, and are a smokier grey.

Worst comes to worst, just pick out the chicks that are blue.

Thanks Sylviethecochin! I appreciate the help! I actually want both types... And I want to make sure to get each type. I ordered from my pet chicken & it arrived today but they were out of those two types.

Watch me come home with 5 more or something . My husband will be a bit unimpressed.

I've not heard of this magical site! But alas they don't have much for Colombia chicks for some reason. I'm going to hunker down a bit longer to see what I can dig up. Thanks so much!!

Welcome! I think it's hard, especially with the splash BLRs. Does feathersite have any useful pictures?

PS 'chicken math'! More is better, right?
