Different clucking sounds

Silly question? A Brown Leghorn chicken that moved into my backyard a couple of weeks ago seems to have flown the coop, again. Then yesterday evening I heard clucking from probably a street over, but the clucking was a little different. Instead of a consistent "cluck, cluck, cluck..." it was cluck, cluck, cluck, then a louder drawn out "cluuuuk". I am just wondering if that could have been a rooster or more likely "my" chicken just in a different mood.

:welcome It may be either.
Thank you for the "welcome" and for the reply. The funny thing is I actually liked the darn thing. I couldn't get near her when she first appeared and when I tried, she'd duck behind a bush. When I tried to follow her, she'd circle the bush and if I changed direction she'd circle back the other way. Back and forth, back and forth. It was hilarious, like watching a cartoon. Thanks again.

Did you provide feed? If so she may very well return.
I did once when she didn't appear to be actively foraging. I thought she might have been sick so I tossed a small piece of bread in her direction and she raced to it. I didn't know chickens could run that fast. I continued for a few minutes, including a raisin every few tosses and eventually she came right up to my hand but wouldn't take it until I dropped it. When she was close like that, she remained cautious, quickly backing away a few steps after retrieving the food. But she was becoming more comfortable as time went on. It's funny to say, but it was loads of fun watching her. Seeing that she was definitely eating and wanting her to rely on her natural feeding rather than relying on me, I stopped when she started moving away. I'd have no clue about how to help her if she got sick. It would drive me nuts! So it's better that continues her odyssey without my intervention.

Ahh, but nothing is more fun than watching chickens! I think a smallish coop and 2-3 birds would work! (We are all enablers here, love chickens and want to share the joy).
Oh come on! You're going to get me into trouble! (Just kidding!)

BUT... I looked out there about an hour ago and there she was, back again. She spent several minutes just standing in one place, then moved around a little not foraging. I thought maybe she was just taking a break. So, a few minutes later I went out and tossed some bread in her direction. She went for one piece and that was it. Didn't go after any more even when it landed almost next to her. I started to approach her again but she'd had enough of that and RAN out into the street and, I kid you not, FLEW up into a tree across the street! I wouldn't have believed a chicken could fly like that if I hadn't seen it. I don't think I even knew they could actually fly at all. I must have really disturbed her (to put it politely). She must've thought I was a predator. So the saga continues.

If you've got some available, chickens love whole corn or peas from a can or the grocery freezer section, tuna is good protein but if you continue to want to feed her you should get some proper feed like an All-Flock or Grower feed and get her a proper shelter and some friends like suggested.

You could also try to snap a pic of it and we could try to I.D. the breed and gender for you if your curious what it is.

Good luck with your new friend.

Thank you for the suggestions. But I don't want her to rely on me for food. I'd have no idea what to do if she needed help. I was concerned that she wasn't foraging and just wanted to see if she'd eat if I gave her something. Maybe she was taking some time off and I interrupted and annoyed her by intruding. My camera is broken and I don't have a smart phone to get a picture on here, but I identified her from pictures online as a Brown Leghorn. Dark brown with golden neck feathers. A really neat-looking bird. Thanks again. Take it easy.
