Looks like you're off to a good start. I'm a big fan of modifying an existing building as mentioned above. It can really keep costs low.

I converted part of a shed but wanted enough space inside for my mower, so I kept it high like a big cabinet. The nose fits under the joists of the coop. I cut a hole for the doors and built a covered run along the side.
