My goslings turned 1 week old today. Hooray! So we set up a camera so we can spy on them in the brooder, and I can’t believe how active they are and that they are never even napping for more than like, 30 seconds lol. I understand that geese do not have a sleep cycle the way humans or my other pets do (they do the “one eye open” thing, I get it). But omg do they ever settle down?! They’re extemely well behaved but I feel like they must be exhausted from running around all day. But they’re not. They’re up and down up and down and then they will pass out for like, maybe a minute maxand then they’re right back up again.

Fascinating little creatures! But what the heck!

Sleeping with their little butts hanging out of the house we made them. This was the case for maybe 45 seconds lol.

My two boys sleep downstairs in the living room. Maybe they're active during the night but I don't hear a peep from them the moment I got to bed myself until I get up again in the morning.

We put a camera on them in the garage and they are active ALL night! They don’t make much noise, but they’re constantly up. It’s amazing how little they actually sleep.
