Do imprinted geese run away from you ?

My geese imprinted on me, the follow me everywhere. But when I go after them they run. Is that normal?

Yes, very normal. Geese do not like being touched or chased.

Mine do the same thing. They follow me around like little puppy dogs. They even come up the ramp to the storm door and peck at the door. When I try to go out, they try to come in the house. The only time I can pet them, is when they're eating, but they won't stand to long for that. However, they do talk to me constantly!!!! CUTE!

My young gander Pear lives in the house, so he thinks he is a human, and he still doesn't like to be chased. If you walk calmly around him he'll stand there but if you're moving fast he bolts. I often let him on my bed and he shoves himself between my neck and my shoulder and goes to sleep! So even 100% imprinted geese will run away
