Do you use Beneficial Insects in your garden ?

do you use companion planting?

it's a good way to fight against pests without the use of pesticides

Yes and no. I do in some areas but not all and I probably don't use the right plants together. Most of the beds are dormant right now so I will try next season to do a better job of it so that the pest aren't too much of an issue.

I did although plant herbs at the base of some of the boxes but it didn't work as well as I thought it would. Perhaps I'll plant more of them also.

What plants do you recommend planting together?

i use the list from this site

since i'm in arizona.. my garden didn't turn out well as i thought it would be

too much sun here

best places to plant for my house would be in the east or west side of the house using the house as cover to reduce the number of sun exposure

the citrus trees i planted in the north side of the backyard all suffered from sun burn .. my tomato plants didn't do so well until i moved them to the east side of the house.

6-8 hours of sunlight-- will depend on which state you live in
