Dog attack!

She was in shock but she has been eating and drinking today. Not as much as normal yet though. I put Rooster booster in her water and hand fed her scrambled eggs.
Give her some sugar water. 1tsp sugar to 1 cup water. This will help with the shock. Shock can last days, so working her out of it will help her recover faster.

She was attacked Sunday. It looks like it’s just the skin peeled back. She’s been kept inside and I’ve been spraying with Vetericyn a few times a day. She definitely seems more alert today and has been eating and drinking. Anything else I should Be doing??
Reminds me of mine that was attacked by a Husky. What kind of dog? Have you checked her over thoroughly for any puncture wounds? Mine had puncture wounds on both sides I failed to notice right away.

Only on a second look at her after I had the opportunity a hour or so later did I see them. My vet gave her an antibotic shot before stiching her up just in case she contracted anything from the bite internally. If you're sure she hasn't any puncture wounds you should be good with the advice given.

If you want to go the route of antibiotic my guess would be Enrofloxacin. I'm not versed in giving shots, but you should be able to give it orally. This is just a thought not a recommendation, and anyone can correct me.

I do Need to check her thoroughly. She is a Cochin so she’s super fluffy and it would be easy to miss something. It was a smaller dog. It didn’t have long because our sweet Roo alerted us that something was going on out there. We lost another Cochin. Weird that one had no signs of trauma.

I do Not see any other injuries on her. I cleaned her with hibicleanse and Saturated it with neosporin. She
Sorry to hear about your hen.

You can find Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) and Triple antibiotic ointment at stores like Walmart, CVS, etc.

I'd clean the wound really well with Hibiclens, trim the feathers from out of the wound, then apply the triple antibiotic ointment.

If the initial cleaning with Hibiclens doesn't take care of the odor, then swab it daily for a few days before reapplying your ointment.

Is she eating/drinking o.k.?

Updated photos may help.

I agree, answering the questions posed by @SmiYa0126 will also help.

Is it red or weepy? How does it smell?
I have Added a pic. It was smelling fishy pretty bad but since I cleaned It good it’s much better. It is saturated with neosporin. I am Waiting for it to soak in and loosen up the feathers so i can get them out. Just don’t want to hurt her more.

Do you have any antibiotics on hand?

If there's still any slight odor, I'd swab it once daily with the Hibiclens/Chlorhexidine, then reapply the ointment.
