Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

I love these dog crates, they make excellent separation cages, hospital and jail cages. I think your system will help greatly, keep the separation going for a couple of weeks. When you do mix all the birds, make sure to add more food and water stations and watch carefully for several days. As long as the disabled birds aren't getting harmed, let them work it out.

Good luck and enjoy your new birds!
Awesome, thank you! I really hope everything works out and in a month or so and they become buds. I wish you could explain to chickens how this would benefit them. Im sure they will squabble it out.

I hate when they squabble about things, but they just do. It can take months to fully integrate new birds together, but eventually they learn to deal with each other. :D I am sure yours will do fine!

Welcome to BYC. I'd be hesitant to mess with a good thing. I wish you luck!
Im nervous about it too but im not going to force them if they are overall unhappy. I have the option to return her to her former owner who can get her to another small flock if things get bad enough, and it becomes overall to stressful to any of them. If things go well in time I think the increased sense of belonging to a flock would be very beneficial to all of them.
