Dog Insurance Recommendations?

Hey y'all, I'm looking to get pet insurance for my dog, Bridgette. I know that it might seem unnecessary or overkill, but it feels worth it to me since she's my service dog and has a lot of time, energy, and training put into her. Not to mention our friendship

Anyway, I'm just looking for recommendations on different pet insurances, if you have any experience or have heard good things about them.

I had Trupanion for a while and really liked them and how much they cover but then they kept raising their prices so I had to cancel sadly. But I think you can adjust your deductible to make it more affordable. But yeah.

My dogs and cats are covered by Pets Best. I haven't had to use it yet so I can't say how good it is. In the past I had coverage through PePlan (now Fetch) for my Chesapeake Labrador that I got at 7 months old. Was not able to use the insurance I'd been paying for when I needed it (torn ACL) because of insufficient records for those first 7 months of his life, so at that point I cancelled it. Hoping I don't run into a similar situation with pets best.

A lot of the breeders I've looked at for cats use it for the kittens they sell, so people must like it

Alright! I know my sister uses Spot for her cat, but also sounds like Trupanion is good!

Trupanion covers up to 90% of the eligible vet bills with no payout limits which is really nice. But you just have to watch out they don’t increase your monthly payment on you eventually. Also I don’t think it covers the exam fee but for me that was only like $60 or $65 dollars or something and if you’re paying thousands, that’s nothing lol if you’re submitting a smaller bill of only like $100 or $200 or something like I did once for kennel cough then you’re kind of like what the heck!? And it sucks but for the big stuff, it’s not a huge deal at all lol
