I need to get Brew back on preventative. but my vet usually likes to test once a year I think.

Ive skipped a few months. Because of forgetting thats why i think testing and then deworming every 3 to 6 months would be easier.

I took Denver out and she always creeps up on a animal she sees, birds, squirrels, and tonight a rabbit. I doubt she would hurt them. The one jumped off and i didnt realize there was another one. But she did

I only did one month this year because we had hardly any mosquitoes. I test yearly.

How often do you guys heartworm test?? My vet only does if the dog isn't up to date with heartworm prevention or there's another reason.

We test for heartworms once a year along with a Lyme disease test at the same time. Our monthly heartworm preventative also takes care of other worms. Even though my vet recommends year-round heartworm prevention, I usually stop in late fall once/if the temperatures are too cold for mosquitoes then start back up again in the spring.

I think the heartworm is in the wormer for us. I dont remember though

Mine does heartworm, hookworms, and some other stuff

We do a heartworm test, plus the vaccines and checkup which I make special note of checking the heart, hips, and elbows. We have to do heartworm all year here because there's mosquitoes all year

My vet also doesn't like to vaccinate for lepto or Lyme
