I am babysitting my moms 100lb Chow X Husky.. He is a great dog but you know what.. I have small dogs.. I crate my dogs so they dont do stuff like this... VOMIT ON THE COUCH!

We came in from work the other day and it had dried already.. so we dont know how much was there.. its splashed on the floor too. My sectional couch got the worst of it.. its a plush reclining seat that he nailed and I have cleaned it twice already with cleaner (Mr. Clean) and really soaked it in last night as I was scrubbing for the second time...woke up this morning and my living room HONKS of vomit...

Wow! That is bad. I am dealing with a little "dumped" Shih-tsu that had diarrhea and projectile vomiting for a day or so, and it IS bad. I wonder if you could use white vinegar, let that dry and see how that works and then Frebreeze it . . .and repeat until its better. The vinegar won't stain, and it really does deodorize. I also wonder if you could blend a little baking soda in it and let it dry and brush off and Febreeze again . . .beautiful dog, by the way!

We had an episode where my son's then girlfriend's cats decided to pee on her couches right before moving (guess they got stressed out). We soaked them good with a vinegar water mixture, then applied baking soda and let it air dry and vacuumed. It really worked! Good luck.

Burning insence has helped me before. I used this method with vomit in car after everything else failed and it worked.

I've used window cleaner to soak up messes on carpet.

I like to put water and carpet cleaner or windex on the spot then vacume with a wet dry vac. Repeat till clean and not stinky. Test on a hidden spot before using it though.

Get a gallon of Zapsit from bunnyrabbit.com! Best stuff ever made! Eats up odors and hasn't stained or bleached anything I've put it on so far.

I'd probably dump a bunch of baking soda on it and let it sit for a day before vacuuming it off. If that doesn't work, try the vinegar thing. I would be afraid of having a vinegar smell on my couch though!

20 yrs ago when I was still in the oil industry -

I had an old station wagon I used as a dog car. I had spent the weekend at a dog show, several hours from my house, where it had rained, and the area around the arena was muddy. So 3 dogs and I got pretty muddy. The Sat. night of the show, while the arena was vacant, a fraternity did some bull riding hazing on pledges. Fortunately not in the area the ring was, but still! Bull poo all over the far end of the arena.

While we were packing up equipment Sunday night, we let the dogs run and play. Unbeknownst to me at the time, one of my dogs was at the far end of the arena scarfing bull poo.

On the way home, she barfed about a quart of partially digested liquid bull poo.

It smelled so bad I was driving a gagging! Oh the stench! It was late at night, by that time, and I was by myself. I didn't have anything with me in the car to clean up that kind of major hazmat situation. I pulled into the next gas station and did my best with a big piece of cardboard and some paper towels from the bathroom, but basically just sort of scraped it off and there was a lot still in the fabric. UGH.

I got home very late and tired and decided to go straight to bed and clean my car at lunchtime during work.
Unfortunately it was in summer.

The big boss asked me to drive a VP from out of town to the airport. I tried to make an excuse and he just waved his hands and said nobody else could do it and he had to leave NOW. Allrighty then.

OH THE STINKING MIASMA of bull poo, mud and wet dog hair caked car interior. The VP had on a dark suit. I give him full credit he never said a word. Not one word. I never explained the condition of the car to him. Just kept up casual chit chat.

Nothing was ever mentioned, however-

I was never ever ever, in my further 12 years with that company, EVER asked to drive anyone ANYWHERE.

eta I had my car professionally cleaned at lunch and then treated it with Zapsit odor eater when I got home and it was literally good as new. Well, almost.

Do you have a wet/dry vac? Is the cushion removable? If it is, I would remove it, soak it, clean it, then vacuum out most of the water. Then let it air dry outside for the day. We had to do that to one of our cushions not too long ago.

do you know anyone with a carpet cleaner with a nozzle attachment for furniture? White vinegar and water first, dry it then baking soda and water. Set it out in the sun if you can to dry it. There are many products at pet stores for odors also. Good Luck!
