This little one was given to me when I was looking for a couple of barnyard mixes for a broody to adopt. The woman told me it was an Aracauna/Welsummer cross. I assume she actually had an Easter Egger (not an Aracauna). Well, this little one is super slow feathering compared to the other two chicks that are the same age...they are about 3 weeks. I assume I have a little cockerel here, but his little bum is so non-existent So, you think this is a boy, right? He's not rumpless, is he? Just no tail feathers yet? Of all the slow feathering little cockerels I've raised, I've never had one quite like this!

I wouldn't be positive that's a boy yet, though it is looking that way. He's just slow to feather - should get a tail eventually. ;)
