Hello
Was hoping for some advice please?
I have three duck eggs which all have veins and signs of growth but I can’t seem to see the air sac! Should I worry and has anyone had this problem before? I am on day 6 of incubation and the eggs were shipped to me, there were six eggs in total but three of the were not viable.
Thank you

I personally haven’t had this problem before, so hopefully someone on this forum can help with some advice soon. Photos of candled eggs would help greatly to figure out the problem. Did you let the eggs rest for 24 hours before you set them?

I’ll take few photos now and post them. Yes I received the eggs last Thursday and didn’t start the incubation process until Friday afternoon.
Thank you for your reply

Attached photos of one of the eggs, all three look the same.

I see what looks like a badly saddled air cell in the last photo. The air cells were maybe detached or saddled and therefore aren’t looking to be like what you expected? Saddled air cells are really common in shipped eggs - eggs with them can be hatched but it’s often a little more tricky so you will need to ask the advice of people who have done this successfully. I’ve never hatched shipped eggs before, so I haven’t dealt with saddled egg cells. The good news is that you have signs of development 😊

Thank you for your quick reply, I’ll do some more research on badly saddled air sacs. Yes it is good news the eggs are developing and hopefully will go all the way and hatch as happy ducks!
Thanks again for replying.
