Is the nose running all the time? explain. and do you have any Apple Cider Vinegar? add some to their drinking water so they can wash out their nares. ACV does have some antibacterial proprieties. If you don't notice any improvement in a couple days you might want to consider an antibiotic, are you noticing any other symptoms?I have a Cayuga duck that is having a runny nose. when I got my new khaki duck he was all good and now he is having a runnny nose like the other duck what do you recommend
Yes it's fine and if it's something catching may help keep him for getting it. that is 1-2 Tablespoons of ACV to 1gallon of water. If you don't see any change i think I'd get an antibiotic most feed stores carry them. Tylan and Tetracycline are 2 I am pretty sure you can get at feed stores. Of course a good vet would be ideal but we always understand when that isn't feasible. Are they eating good?how does their poop look/ and how old/They are doing it all the time and I have a pool for them They spend most of there time in it and now they seem very down and that one of my ducks in there has no runny nose is it still ok if he drinks the acv
All very good questions and I was thinking the same about water staying in their nares. Just never got back to post the question. What are they doing that you don't think is normal behavior? You are new to ducks, maybe they are fine? I was surprised just how long water could stay in my ducks nares, they would be out of the water for an hour, then suddenly their nose is dripping. Do you think that could be the case? What is their diet composed of? What exactly are you feeding them, and what shelter are they living in?
You need to explain that statement, please. They are acting a little weird
