Duck with swollen ankles (no bumblefoot, only calluses)

My Pekin's ankles are very swollen. Other than that she is acting normal. She does have some calluses on her feet which have always been there (they like to free roam on our wooden deck and my other birds have them too). I've read posts that say that swollen ankles mean infection has spread and need to be treated right away. Ive been soaking her feet in Epsom salt every other day. Today I peeled back some loose skin. I don't see anything resembling a bumble. Not sure what I should do at this point, should I make an incision above the ankle and see if anything comes out? Photos attached.

Woah! It looks like a infection, but I never had ducks so not sure... @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock @azygous @LaFleche .. Here are some that know a thing or two about ducks I think. Start by spraying Vetericyn, cleaning with a gauze and putting neosporing *without pain relief* I think its also toxic to ducks. Hopefully this helps for the meanwhile! Good luck!

Are the feet and legs hot to the touch or do they have normal temperature? In case they are hot she may need some antibiotics.
How old is she? Gout comes to mind also, but @DuckLady and @Miss Lydia might know how to treat this.

Both legs seem to be at normal temp. She is a little over a year old. We feed Purina duck pellets, which we were told contains all vitamins ducks need (in case it helps). Thank you!

The swollen ankles could possibly be mycoplasma synovitis or other type of bacterial arthritis. The lumps on the feet look like bumblefoot, which is also a bacterial infection. @Miss Lydia knows ducks very well. I am more familiar with chicken problems.

Yikes! I looked up MS and looks like it could be fatal... How do birds contract it? We live in the suburbs and the ducks are contained in a fenced run (no wildlife in the area and none of our neighbors keep birds). Wondering if MS is unlikely..?
