Hello!

I ordered a batch of female chicks from Chickens For Backyards. I am questioning if this one might be a Roo based on its comb being far more red and tail being far longer than the others. This is either my Easter egger or olive egger (I ordered one of each and don’t know how to tell which is which). Hatch date was 5/1, so they are about 8 weeks old.

This is my first time owning chickens, so I am a novice in being able to identify gender. If you don’t mind sharing what you’re looking for when helping identify, that would be much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

At this age, the main thing saying cockerel is his large comb and waddles.

With some breeds the difference in coloration with cockerel vs. pullet is very obvious. I don't know much about the Eggers so their colorations are not something I am familiar with.
