In the Brooder

Just wanted to share a picture of our babies! This is from their first day home (we’re on day 3 now and they aren’t all together or still enough for a picture). All EE, all supposed to be pullets.

The dark one in the back is the boss and has fondly been named General. The rest are pending. I just love the cute little chipmunk on the left with the ankh on her head. I’ll have to get individual colored pictures later on.

Edit: I was able to snag some photos while transferring them from their temporary brooder. No names are final, but I can’t stand not having something to call them! I keep almost picking a name for the last one, but everything comes up short. Any references for how these cuties could end up looking?

I don't know what you're saying, because I'm certainly not able to change your words, but I do apologize. I wasn't trying to be hurtful. I thought that you were posting updated photos. If you did, I can't see them on my end.

Again, I apologize.
I apologize if I took your comment incorrectly. In all of my online communities, quoting someone, and then using the popcorn emoji, implies that you’re waiting to watch the show that’s about to unleash. However, I did say I was transferring them from the temporary brooder to their permanent one. They arrived multiple days before I was told to expect them, and even their tracking implied, so I had to work with what I had at home for a couple of days.

Oh, I see. No wonder it seemed snarky.

I'm glad that you were able to handle their early arrival! We were right down to the wire with our coop and run when it was time to pick up the pullets.

Gorgeous little fluffballs. ❤️

Edit: More pics added! Beta is the paid actor. Isys is the striped in front of the xylophone, and is the suspicious one.

Original: Week and a half-ish update! (Meyer hatchdate 4/7) Not the best image from the baby monitor, I haven’t had a chance to handle them individually today. But the light chick’s feathers (Meadow) are coming in white and she’s SO gorgeous.

4 out of 6 Have beautiful wing & tail feathers coming in. However, this grey chipmunk with the pattern on their head is still lagging behind - few wing feathers, and no tail feathers yet. I considered maybe they were just a day or so behind the others, but now I’m not sure. Everyone’s eating, drinking, and active. The chick isn’t particularly smaller than the rest - just less feathering.

Left to right - General, Isys, Meadow, Kite (previousy no name)
Not pictured - Beta (who is now huge) & Wren
