"Eggstipation" is a noun. It refers to the condition of a hen needing to lay an egg but having difficulty deciding to actually laying the egg, meaning it describes a state, not an action.

Verb form: The verb form of "eggstipation" is to be eggstipated, which means the hen needs to lay an egg but is in a temporary panicked frenzy trying to not miss out on anything when needing to actually just sit in the box and lay the egg.

Example sentence: My hen, Blanche, was eggstipated due to her frequent trips into the coop, out of the coop, back into the coop, pacing around the yard and loud squawking annoying everyone and every creature around her. She was in a mood of general crankiness.

Symptoms: fear of missing out on anything going on in the yard, loud and long squawking, clucking and general noise, inability to decide on an activity such as eating, scratching around, preening and creating general unrest among other flock members

Cure: putting entire flock back into enclosed run so Blance could settle down, find her favorite nesting box and lay the dang egg. Which ended up being right outside of the box in the bedding. Kinda thinking she just 'sharted' the egg from holding it in too long.
