Sometimes if ducklings are given treats without having eaten grit, they can get impacted. Gently feel the front of the base of the neck - any lumps? Also, sometimes they will swallow string and get impacted. Sometimes as they are picked up, their little tummies get squeezed. And some of them are such wigglers, it is a challenge.
