Failing to thrive baby chick

In the Brooder

We’ve ordered 15 baby chicks and a mystery one and they’re almost 3 weeks old. We had one immediately almost passed in the first 24 hours. We worked on keeping her warm and now she’s thriving like most of the others. My kids called her “Fighter”. A week later we had another one who struggled to walk and she isn’t growing. We quarantined her and got her eating. She cried a lot and started eating so much and realized she missed her flock and put her back in the main brooder. She’s healthy no where near the size of the others.
Now we have a 3rd one about a week ago I noticed had splay leg. It took several days to heal for her to walk and she stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She now is so skinny and cries so much. Of course we quarantined her since she had splay leg and didn’t want the others to hurt her. I’ve done so much research, but can’t figure out what is wrong with her. Her poops have been normal, but a little bit ago I saw poop with orange on the side.
All our chicks get fermented feed, we started on “magic water” and now they just have a little of ACV in their water. Today I bought her “Recover 911” that’s supposed to be electrolytes and probiotics for her water. We mostly have to use a syringe to get her to drink. We started yesterday giving her egg yolk. Help!

It sounds like you're doing everything you can! It's hard to say what could be wrong with her. If it were mine, I would continue with supportive care. If she keeps eating and drinking, she might make it and just end up being a bit runty.

The poop doesn't look abnormal to me.

Thank you! I just cleaned up this poop when I was trying to give her water. Is this bad? It looks like it could be blood. 😭

Chicks shed their intestinal lining, but it could be coccidiosis. The best course of action would be to treat all of the chicks with amprolium in their water using a product like Corid.

What’s the dosage? I bought some but the dosage is for a large herd of cattle.
