Found some white mold growing Behind one of the pavers I have a feeder set up on. The floor is dirt and they frequently knock feed out and it gets behind there sometimes.

I’ve scraped it up but now I’m concerned about what I can do to prevent it from growing again.. I need feeders separated well because Line of sight means chasing happens even though they have plenty of room… it’s hard to sweep
Up fallen feed in dirt they keep digging up.

You can buy anti mold paint. Could you paint it with this? Make sure it's safe for animals though! :)
But it’s in the dirt floor, thats the only place we seem to have this issue, they knock out feed and it gets mixed up in the dirt I guess… i shop vacuumed out what I could.

Ah right, sorry I thought there was a wooden wall or fencing in the dirt, not the mold is directly in the dirt. Usually this is caused by poor drainage and water is allowed to gather. I read that powdered cinnamon can be sprinkled over the area and this can help stop mold... I'm not sure how good that works though, but maybe worth a shot? 😁

What type of feed and feeder are you using?
Can be hard to keep them from digging out feed onto the ground.
Is this in the coop or run?

It’s a hanging one that is not quite hanging yet. They are scared when it hangs but I haven’t gotten around to anchoring it again after having to shuffle stuff around due to bullying.

It’s in the run.

Does the run keep rain out or is the ground wet/damp?
Might put a larger dish under the feeder to catch the stuff being billed out.

The only time i find mold in my run which was only this spring was because it was super wet. I spent a few hours cleaning raking and adding sand/dirt to make the water run away. The chickens later destroyed that area. But is there a area you can move the feed out of the dirt if the dirt is wet?
