Hello! Today I noticed my hen, Peanut, was acting off. Later on that day as I was checking her over she layed a nice dropping at my feet and I saw it moving! After looking it over a bit more, these very tiny white worms were in it. I went to my local tractor supply thinking I could find a dewormer and it would be "easy" to deal with, but the only thing I was able to come across was a 70$ bottle for cows/goats, that I believe I COULD use on my chicken, but it's very expensive for me. Does anyone recommend a way to handle this? I read I could use ACV, but at the stage she is at with the worms I'm not sure if it would do me much good?

My other hens are fine. I had to separate Peanut from the rest of the flock because they kept trying to murder her, hah. My poor chicken has been through the wringer.

I would appreciate any advice given! Thank you.

If you have any pictures of the worms it would help. If it is maggots from fly strike , you would need to check her vent area for any. They can eat her flesh. If it is tapeworms segments we can suggest a wormer, such as Equimax horse paste 0.16 ml given once and again in 14 days.

Thank you all for the help! I have no idea what it was so all I could do for the first day, since I had no way of treating it, was adding ACV to a gallon of water. She finished all of that water off in a day. I cleaned her bedding again and she is doing much better the next day! I did end up clipping the feathers around her vent and giving her a bath with Dawn. Honestly, it was the prayer that helped most. No idea if it was worms or maggots. Thanks to you all, I learned what Fly Strike is and will add that to my "Chicken Medicine Book".
