I have been told so many different things I'm not sure which one to go with!lol I have golden pheasant eggs in my incubator right now. My neighbor told me to stop turning them since I'm at 21 days today. I've hatched plenty of chickens and I always stop turning at 18 because that is 3 days before hatch. Pheasant hatch around 28 days but my neighbor says golden's hatch around 23. I'm just confused?! I candled them and everyone seems healthy and almost full size. I just don't want to screw it up at the very end!
Thank You!!!

Should stop turning on day 20. They normally pip on day 21, hatch on day 22, they may take until day 23 sometimes. I've forgotten when they were supposed to hatch a few times and were still in the turner, they still hatched just fine.

I also leave mine in the turner. They will do fine as when they feel movement they will move.Howmans book says 22 days, but I think it's more like 24-25 days.

Thanks! I have heard people keep turning till the end. I guess I will stop tomorrow at 23 days and hope for the best. I'm also hatching peafowl for the first time but they still have a little longer to go.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if they haven't pipped by day 23, their probable (dis) died in shell. My experince with the Ruff pheasants has been they take 22 days to hatch.

I counted wrong I'm on day 23 today. They haven't pipped yet but they have moved. I increased the humidity. If they don't hatch hopefully I have better luck with my peafowl.

No, but one of my peafowl eggs just started piping!
I decided to candle one of the pheasants. No bloodline which is good but to dark to see movement. I'm losing hope on the pheasant chicks.
