You're positive it's a boy -- crowing? If it had dark shading down front of legs/top of toes those are females. By the time females are full adults the shading disappears.
Our Dom pullets looked similar at 17 weeks:

Dark shading front legs/toes -- female

Of course, if it crows it's a boy....although my friend had a crowing Barred Rock who layed eggs too

Yes I now wear my side protective safety goggles. One of the chicks last year pecked me from the side on my eye! The brat!
