You have Coopers as you said, and we do too. This call was nothing like a Coopers. Also, even from a distance the bird you had looked chunkier to me than a Coopers. Ratio of wingspan to tail length I think.
Thanks so much. I really do appreciate your expertise.

Wow! Hawk! Your setup looks safe though!

So far in your flock Nocturne, Biscuit, Versace, & Cookie & the little black Silkie/Cochin Nyx? are my favourites. I love all chickens but sometimes certain ones stand out visually ❤️.

Mom called the shelter this morning and sent the pictures and video's she had of him. We will see if they come out.

I am going to be 100% honest here, I will support her, but I do NOT want him. For them to have such a reaction thinking he had bit her there is something behind that to make them that way.

I am not comfortable taking on dog like him. If he did bite, he could do major damage. To us he has unknown triggers. I have a daughter to think about. We have CeeCee, he could hurt CeeCee if they got into a fight. He needs basic manners taught to him. Who is going to take on the responsibility of simply leash training him? Teach him that jumping on people is not ok? I would not let her do it alone.
My DD took in her MIL's 7-yr-old female Golden Retriever after MIL's declining Alzheimer's. The sweet pup was never obedience-trained, is a jumper, & incessant licker, w/hyper energy even at 7 yrs. Her owner in dementia annoyance would hit the dog on the skull so the dog flinches from hands.

DD/SIL are exhausted caring for the pup as the old bad habits keep happening no matter how much reinforced training they do. The dog has learned some good retraining but the energy & licking don't subside. Thankfully she's not a biter & pals around w/ the Pit mix well so they keep her.

Yes!
They are all darlings, the black ones are special to my little goth heart. 🖤
I can't wait to see how Biscuit grows up, she is soooo cute.

I used to be able to say I had a favorite but it's too hard now! Maybe Bab Ross...or Nyx, or Morinth...Shep? They're all so precious in their own way!
