Feel free to forward a picture of George to her. She may want to try that cross. Be forewarned, if she tries it and gets a white frizzle pullet I will curse the chicken gods. Out of earshot of George mind you. He is perfect. Still, white frizzle pullet could have happened.
I won’t give her any exotics like silkies or frizzle, they require too much attention.

But some hardy mutts are good ♥️🥰

I have a thermometer in the Hen House, just checked it when I did chores, it was sitting around +3C.

If it stays there that would be good.

Yup….

Flown many times into Fort Mc when it’s -40s I always just trust the pilot !
...& especially trust the plane mechanic...

My mom had a vacation travel friend whose nephew was an Amer Airlines mechanic in the '70's & he said after seeing what they ok'd for flight down the runway he'd never fly his own airline ✈️ :lau!!

I won’t hatch eggs, Hoovers offers Buff and Light Brahma day old pullets.

I would prefer Dark Brahma but they don’t offer them.

Other than that there is a breeder who has Lemon Brahma (I think that’s the colour) not far from here but they are not gender checked so I won’t risk getting a couple Roos hahaha.
The Dark Brahma hens look like their history includes Wyandotte or Barnevelder crossing to get that gorgeous lacing ~ pretty silver roo ~ Hoovers page says the Dark Brahmas are currently unavailable but maybe in Spring they will? Most hatcheries are saying currently unavailable for now.

I'm very impressed w/the rich golden color of the Buff Brahmas w/ the contrasting black collar & tails!
free-range buff Brahma hen and rooster

The Light Brahma hens remind me so much of Delawares at quick glance that I've embarrassed myself before w/owners 😁 .
Light Brahma Chickens

The Lemon Pyle Brahma hens are so pale they look almost Cream but the roos are very colorful

Now the above Brahma roos of all the colors are so royally gorgeous they almost don't look like they belong w/ their hens!!!
