I could call her and ask for Meloxicam to give to Chick-fil-a :idunno
Another choice is Tylenol - I use the infant liquid stuff. Dose is 10mg/kg.

The infant stuff is 80mg in 1cc (that’s 1ml), the syringe has a 1/4ml (.25ml or .25cc). I would think you wee fella would take a bit less than the .25ml - I give the silkies less than the .25ml about half way between empty and the .25ml mark.

Twice daily. The aspirin may increase bleeding, Tylenol won’t do that.

How is the wee fella doing?

Thank you for that compliment. Buttercup was a lovely hen, I can only imagine. My other two birds look like her also. CeeCee is my white Ameraucana, and My Little Pony always reminds me of the pony I had purchased for my daughter on her 12th birthday (she’s crazy about horses)
Oh Buttercup is still around - she is one of my escape artists.

Today she and the other escapees made a dash for the back again.

I tell you it’s a full time job just chasing those around!

She is one of Mr P’s ladies, and she lays blue eggs!

I can't imagine living through that. You are very brave to have chickens again. I'm afraid that you will likely encounter these feelings more often than just this time. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
I agree with Bob, it’s entirely possible that the new batch lacks all the antibodies necessary to stave off any additional infections.
I really hope that I’m wrong about that! :fl:love:hit:duc

Do you really think it’s fair for Navy, to attempt raising Silkie eggs, when we know full well that Silkies are not real chickens? Maybe you could get some duck eggs. At least they are real birds, and not feather dusters.! :idunno :old

Cover your ears Clyde! You are a real chicken - this I know, because only chickens deposit yucky cecal poops on the floor for me to slip in.

I am more inclined to think it is heat related or they ate something they shouldn’t have. Or a combo of both. They pick at and eat everything, and if they were affected by the heat it could lower their resistance and cause an illness.

I think heat is worse than cold sometimes.

Any extremes in the temperatures and weather is bad for all living things.
