Good advice.
I suspect the store is just a pickup point for the hatchery chicks, but the other customers may be bringing in all sorts of things from their chickens back home.

That is what I'm worried about. Not the hatchery but what all the other chicken people will be carrying along with them.

Smart girl! I knew she was my favorite chick pick when I 1st saw the little smartie

I feel like her and I really connect. She seems to know what I want her to do and she does it. I think she is very bright.

I've seen them go for flying ants. We have a species here that swarms out winged ones from time to time and the chickens love them. Oddly these weren't winged....unless she found them in the nest (entrance was torn open a bit) and nabbed those before I saw them.....

I do find it fascinating what they know to eat naturally and what they need to be taught to eat.
