I've not seen this before but i don't have a ton of broody experience.

Glynda got off the nest twice today.

Once at 7:30 am to eat and drink

Once at 4:00 pm to dustbathe

I figure the afternoon one also enabled her to cool off a little.

How hot is it there? She is likley to hot sitting in there and the eggs should be fine in this heat.

The horses are grumpy, the chickens are grumpy…. Not as humid as yesterday thankfully.

91°F, 32.7C here today. Pretty toasty.

106F, 41C here. Very toasty as well. Swamp coolers are helping the chickens and the upcoming storm seems to be cooling things down too.

To help the ladies cool off, I've been dumping water out in their favorite dust bath spots. The dampish dirt is cooler.
