I have no idea what she is, she is another chook I ‘inherited’ from my
Cousin. She has 5 toes on her feet and she used to lay very pale blue eggs.

She is the queen here - no one bothers her and all she pretty much has to do is look at them and they part the way for her.
Ok, Penelope sounds like Silkie with 5 toes and EE for bluish eggs. Funny how she's queen. I think of Silkies or EE's as shrinking violets but I guess old age earns them the right to be alphas.

Our longest lived 11-yr-old Silkie "Violet" was queen the last 4 years of her life. When we added 3 Dominique juveniles around 4-months old they immediately bowed to Violet and actually came to her defense if she was in danger from a feral cat or a bully hen!
3 Doms always gravitated around Violet wherever she went.

After two Doms passed the one remaining Dom stayed by her side.

That reminds me of someone. Minus the blue eggs of course.

I find they handle to cold better than the heat.

When it’s steamy hot here I have the fans going full on, and if it’s extremely hot and humid I bring the horses in early. They are getting old now.

Penelope and Ruth, you can see Penelope’s feather pattern here
