My brother used a pump, some filter of some kind, and some tubing that makes condensate for it to work.

I haven’t watched them all yet but I loved the cooling one.
My chicken carer gave mine crushed ice yesterday. They love eating little shards of ice!

Morning chickens:

Currently, half of the chooks (Ijak and the older hens) are under the shade fig dustbathing area, and the others (Stormfeather and the juveniles) are right under the bucket cooler. They seem to like it. It is still blowing cool air, so that's good!

Hopefully. When I first put a fan in my coop, the chooks wouldn't go in until it was roosting time.

Mine were freaked out at first - horses too, now they enjoy it.

I need to be more careful with your choice of words. "Last night I lost him and Mrs LC" sounds like they had passed on to me. My heart stopped when I read them. A better phrase would be "last night I could not locate him and Mrs LC".

Do you see the difference? It creates the desired stress without the inference they are no longer with us.
