It's been our experience w/ 3 different Pomegranate varieties that at least half of the tender fruit blossoms will fall off or be blown off by winds before any fruit forms. Out of 12 blossoms we get 6 fruit ~ not a prolific fruit tree which is why they are so expensive in supermarkets. & most of our Pomegranate seeds get fed to the chickens. We have a pomegraniate. Unfortunately the fruit seems to be taking forever to ripen, and it's blossoming again for some reason or another.
They grow really well out here in the desert though. And chooks love them.
