I found her! She is ‘Resident of the week’.
I don’t really do Facebook but managed to grab screenshots of her entry.
I don’t remember her black ‘Sussex feathering’ on tail and neck from your pictures of her. But there is no mistaking that face!!!
🥰

Awww! She looks wonderful Marie ♥️

I am sure they are giving her as good care as you did. Though I am sure she does miss you. It is wonderful that she has some friends to ease her new move.

Gosh you found a lovely place for her Marie! Good job!

Princess was chatting with two friends and the Turkey, the chickens named are Minnie and Ivy, apparently she's been talking too all three since being there .

Sadly I'm not on Facebook but princess will be soon.
So if anyone here would be kind enough to look up "Deansfarm Sanctuary" I would love any update that could be found.

I have asked for the name of the Turkey who has been bullied and was molting, hence her and Princess became good friend's

It is believed that Princess "is a lovely Sussex chicken" . She is certainly loved ❤️ that's for sure.

That is a wonderful update. I found them on facebook and now follow them. I scrolled for a bit and I must say you found a wonderful new home for her. I hope dear Princess has many happy years with her new friends at her new home. Well done to both you and Miss Grumpy Chicken. If you wish since I am on facebook anytime they post a update I can share with you incase you have missed it.

:gig:gig:lau

That was awesome 🥰

She has a good sense of humour. I am sure she was upset with his pissing ooops meant passing but I am sure she has chicks from him.
I'm sure she turned to humor to deal with his passing. I understand that, I live with that. My brother love him is the same. He cannot handle tears and will joke to make himself or one of us laugh.

Brad was a lucky little rooster. No doubt he was 100% the jerk she portrayed him to be. I applaud her for loving and keeping that little jerk. Many would not, or not be able to. Where I live I could not keep one that came after people no matter how much I loved them.

I dream of a place one day where I can keep any rooster I want and as many as I want. The "Brads" of the world would be welcomed and cherished.

Caturday
Look at this lazy bum.

I will never use this bank now, they are definitely not to be trusted
None of them can! I called BOA 3 times 3 months in a row to inform them that they deposited into my account when they should have posted withdrawn. That would be $690 to the bank's benefit ~ I wrote that check in payment to a contractor.

3 bank statements later BOA would not correct the error, said there was no error, even though I had the cleared check in my possession showing that the contractor had cashed it! OK, TY BOA for my free contract work!

This was over 30 yrs ago but apparently bank error mentality hasn't changed in all those years?!

Tx ~ we have no kitties for Cat-urday but here's DH dogsitting DD/SIL's puppies this weekend:

Sooo...... I have a problem. A broody hen problem. Poppet is at the center of it. I will have to go get pictures in a bit so you all can fully understand my situation. The little devil was missing last night when I closed up the coop. Last week we got in and restacked about 25 new bales of hay. Poppet was laying very close to the hay. After the new hay came in I stopped getting her eggs. Honestly no alarm bells went off as I figured she joined in with the rest of the girls who are molting like crazy. I did lay on the ground and look underneath the hay stack as it is about 5 inches off the ground. I saw nothing. Last night after looking everywhere for her with no luck I once again got down and shined a light under the haystack. She is hidden very well but there she was. I cannot reach her as she is back against the wall. I would also have to unstack and then restack every bale of hay to get her the little brat. Poppet dang you this is Momma Hen shenanigans, I raised you better then that. I do not know what I am going to do. I do not know how many eggs she has or if they are even fertile. Knowing my luck they are and Randy did the deed. If I wait until we've used enough hay that I could quickly removed a few bales to get to her, the chicks will have already hatched or be close to it. Silkie x Game cross chicks is my nightmare.

Here is Poppet, at the very back right up against the house. Poppet, you come out of there right now and forget this foolishness.

And to quote my dad "Forget it, we are not moving the hay. Let her hatch and sell the chicks in the spring."

To add a bit of perspective. When we moved the hay we used a old queen size metal bed frame to place the boards on to keep the hay off the ground. This is like when Momma Hen hit the hill. It is the ultimate "Fluff You, I want babies".
