Yes - that is the study I found too - their dosing was also IM.
I found two other studies - one used 10mg/kg orally in geese, and one looking for LD50 in chicks but that was also IM.
It seems like consensus of studies on dosing is 10mg/kg and it seems the safety margin is reasonably broad so safe to use that dosing even in a home setting with inevitable inaccuracies in weight and volume measurements.
I think I would go with the 10mg/kg dose and achieve that by diluting the kids oral stuff using a 1ml syringe.

Does anyone have a coop thermometer / hygrometer recommendation? Curious about monitoring the measured temp and humidity. I'm thinking wireless - a sensor in the coop and the home unit inside that talk to eachother.

a hygrometer would be great to make sure it doesn't get too humid in the coop in the cold - humidity, more so than the actual cold, is what causes frostbite. (not that it isn't the cold's fault- it is, but hunidity makes it far worse and more likely to happen.

Good if it's not a bee stinger cuz then it would need to be removed before treating for swelling. But a good guess would be an insect bite or lastly a small puncture poke from a thorn or splinter? Her eye looks ok which rules out anything respiratory. Respiratory makes a chicken lethargic so it can't be that.

I'm more concerned about what Flopsy is going thru. It's lingering far too long?

Flopsy is fine, she is flying everywhere freaking me out.

There is nothing I can do about her, the money it would cost would be prohibitive for me. As long as she is eating and getting about them she is fine.

All of us have our issues, none of us is without some sort of health issue! She’s doin better than I am I would say

Your sanctuary cares for many different animals & probably have many prior owners to keep up w/ plus divide their time & care in many administrative duties too. We didn't get updates often when we rehomed cuz we knew our rescue friend had horses, donkeys, roosters, hens. ducks, geese, etc to care for. A lot of their effort was finding time to rescue & rehabilitate battery hens from local egg farms rather than spend time updating us. DH would contact our friend in text messages not often cuz we knew our birds were in good hands.

Squeak sat on my lap today, for about 20 minutes. Sunny joined her and they kept my lap warm. Squeak has been on my lap once before, a couple of weeks ago. I don't pet her; she doesn't seem to like that.

At on point, she was resettling herself, and her foot started to slide off my knee. I put my arm around her to act as a guardrail. After she regained her footing, she looked at me as if to say, "Oh, thanks mom," and settled back down.
