No, no joke - just full of long fuzzy hair and big ears like Enzo. Kind of like Velociraptors are the ancestors of chickens.

Besides, I love Enzo, would be great to know his 'Family Tree'
Davis is somewhere in his family tree. Same group of barn cats +/- 7 years apart. That's all I know.

Oh yes, this girl is definitely a bantam. She also could be close to laying if she is not already. Randy is very, very, very interested in her. Right now she is avoiding him.

She is smaller then Goose.

Gosh what a pretty wee gal! I have some serious envy going on here 😊

But I am also extremely happy she ended up in your care - what a lucky ducky chickie ♥️

I will need to video some new songs I am singing to them, it’s dark when I put them to bed lately, and I have my headlamp on low red-light to try not to disturb them while shoving them in the hen house. Not sure if my camera will show anything in the red light…. ?

Misty still gets ‘In the Misty Moon light’

But some of the youngsters are getting ‘you are so beautiful to me’ hahaha.
Can't wait. :pop

I did NOT get good sleep last night. I'm going to let the chickens out of their coop, feed and water them, give them a little treat, and get back in bed :th

But I'll try to get a twosday pic while I'm out there
Sorry you didn’t sleep well. I look forward to some two fors though 😊🥰

Yes Poppet is broody and sitting out of reach from me under the hay stack. I do not know how many eggs she is on. I do not even know if they are fertile. If they do hatch they will be silkie x game mixes with Randy being the dad. I will give Poppet credit, her spot is a safe spot. This is her 2nd time in 4 months being broody. The first time she decided to nest on top of the hay. She fought me tooth and nail but I broke her after almost 3 weeks of sitting on nothing. This time she outsmarted me when it came to a nest spot.

Brilliant lady. Great spot. Not for you but for her. 😆

I am astonished about banana. Mine just love banana.
They get it all over their little faces.
They don’t eat the skins, but they pick every tiny piece of banana off the inside. They love the stringy bits - like worms!

Banana tax: Tassels must have been molting. Those little white specks are keratin sheath dust. Maybe from someone else because there really haven’t been a lot of black feathers on the ground.

I may need to borrow one of yours to teach mine they are good to eat.
